A little about me… (Okay, a lot!)

Nice to Meet You!

Hey friend — I’m Michelle!

Award-winning kids yoga educator, founder of Little Yogis Academy®, and a former TV host turned entrepreneur who somehow ended up teaching Warrior II to hundreds of toddlers at a time… and loving every second of it.

If you’re here, it’s probably because you want to teach kids yoga and mindfulness, make an impact, and maybe even build a beautiful little business for yourself.

And guess what?

You’re exactly who I created this space for.

THE EARLY DAYS: FROM TV CAMERAS TO TINY YOGIS

Before I ever rolled out a yoga mat in a childcare center, I spent years working in TV and marketing — hosting, storytelling, and learning how to connect with an audience.

But something was missing.

I wanted to do work that felt meaningful.
Purposeful.
Joyful.

So when I discovered kids yoga and mindfulness… everything changed.

I realized:
If we can teach children to breathe, pause, regulate, and move their bodies with intention — we can change their entire life trajectory.

So I took the leap.
I left the camera.
And I picked up a yoga mat.

HOW MY BUSINESS STARTED (AKA: The “Say Yes and Figure It Out Later” Era)

One Class, One Brave Yes…

A woman in a purple hoodie and black leggings sitting on the floor, writing on a piece of paper, with children's books stacked nearby and a large potted plant in the background.

Before I knew it…

I was teaching all day, every day in dozens of childcares

  • I was running school workshops, birthday parties, and community events

  • I was developing my own curriculum and themed lesson plans

  • I was hiring instructors because I couldn’t keep up with demand

  • I was getting booked out through word of mouth alone

  • And somehow…
I grew my little idea into a half-million-dollar business.

I didn’t have a business degree.
I didn’t have a mentor.
I didn’t have a “perfect brand strategy.”

I had passion.
A good gut.
And a heart for kids.

And it worked.

Awards & Recognition

(Aka: the part where I blush and pretend to be modest)

The woman in the photo is holding her hands up, as if holding the image of the woman in the poster. There is a colorful ball made of plastic pieces on a blue table next to her. To the right of the display, there is text about Little Yogis Academy.
